Will of God!
At the Annunciation
there is a Holy Union of Twin hearts taking place which turn out to be a
historic moment in the life of human person.
God the All Powerful one decides
to pitch a tent among us and chose Mary to be the bearer, carrier and
tabernacle of the Word.
God wills to be among us and Mary submits her will to
that of God, union of wills, to make incarnation possible.
There is a perfect
union of wills here as Mary seems to say, Here I am Lord I come to do your
will, and in face commits to “let it be done to me according to your word”!
This union of hearts and wills brought about amazing grace to the fallen
humanity, redemption, salvation and emancipation from slavery to sin.
Giving
ourselves to God’s will can bring great peace.
Following the new direction to
which God calls us injects new vitality in our spiritual life, and a sense of
mission and purpose is renewed.
Lent is a time to turn our lives around and
align our wills to that of God so that we become more attuned to God for a
peaceful and happier life.
Mary would say, “My soul proclaims the greatness of
the Lord” after a beautiful experience.
Annunciation is an invitation to
conceive the Divine Will in our life for the sake of a family and community
committed to God.
Mary the Mother of Jesus watches over us.
