March 11, 2014: 7th Day:
Give us
this day our daily bread:
‘Yes human person does not live on bread alone’ and yet how true
it is that we need bread daily to sustain our soul and our lives. No wonder
then Jesus asked us to pray to God the Father for the daily bread. We need the
wisdom, guidance, strength, and courage to face the challenges of daily life.
How true it is when Scott Peck opened his book with these lines in his best
seller, The Road less travelled: “Life is difficult, are we going to be blown
around by this wind or are we going to lean into it”? Is there a work problem,
a relationship issue, a financial hurdle, a housing choice that blow you around
so much so that you feel overwhelmed? We all need that “wisdom that comes from
the mouth of God” to turn a difficulty into a challenge. So today pray that special
prayer that Jesus taught us, a prayer that will be heard by the Father for the
Son knows the Father. The Son knows our desires, pains, challenges and
difficulties and he wants to help us along the journey of life. So we pray
‘rise up Lord in defense of your people, do not hide your face from our
troubles’. Amen
God Bless you
always!
