In distress!

Jeremiah the prophet is stressed out preaching the Judgment that was going to come upon them and as a result people denounced him.

He cries out to God in fear and in distress. He wanted them to experience the vengeance of God.

How do we handle stress and fear and anxiety?

The book of Psalms is full of prayer of people in distress.

They pour out their fear, sorrow, anger and frustration to God.

Just as Jeremiah claims God will come to the rescue and he will hear the cry of the poor in distress.

Because God is full of compassion and mercy on His people.

The families that lost their loved ones in the plane crash in France are indeed calling the Lord in distress and anger.

Their prayer will not bring back the lives of their loved ones but God will provide strength, comfort, and consolation in their grief.

A lot of people turn away from God, blaming God for their loss and agony but in fact these are troubled times to turn to the Lord for strength.

Just pour out your heart to God in distress. After all God is close to the broken hearted!
